Turkey may facilitate direct US-Iranian talks

Washington and Tehran are struggling to get Turkey, a key regional power and a country neighboring Iran, on their side in the Iranian nuclear crisis. Ankara has taken a middle-of-the-road approach so far, but recent developments are raising alarms about possible U.S.-led military action and further increasing pressure on the Turkish government to take a clearer stance. Turkey seems to be left with only a few options before a tough decision in the near future and for the time being the wisest move left seems to be to strongly encourage direct U.S.-Iranian talks on the nuclear issue................
